Reesha’s Week 8 Report

Rambling(s)

It is already Week 8. Geoff and Edward reassure us each week, but its still nerve-wracking trying to make everything come together and look nice all in such a short timespan. Still lots of things to do.

Goal(s)

There were lots as usual

  • Continue progress on 3D assets
    • Low-Poly Trees
      • Dying Pine ?
      • Dying Oak ?
    • Furthermore, figure out why the assets are being simplified by our game engine, and also figure out how to export the shader. Going to look into this more. Stay tuned in Week 9’s log.

Began work on…

  • Low-Poly Cloud
  • Low-Poly Rock
  • Low-Poly Water

Accomplished Goal(s)

  • All basic animations done! CHECK!
  • Low-poly assets continue to be built

Missed Goal(s)

  • I am super behind in my workflow some days but I hope to pick up the slack. Basically all assets are a grab bag that need to be worked on. Will probably just jam them all out before next week’s log. Week 9 makes me nervous.

This/Next Week’s Goal(s)

  • Finish all assets
  • Stay sane

Lesson(s)

Again, stop procrastinating. Things would be easy if I didn’t do that.

Collaborate! And then collaborate some more! Working with the graphics team on importing assets has proved a tedious team effort, but we are getting there.
