Graphics

The graphics team achieved a major milestone by successfully loading custom models with basic shading. This unlocks a new level of fidelity and allows the game design team to more easily implement scene and gameplay elements.

Art

The art team made strong progress on 2D assets this week. This included a completed clock UI element to represent time and initial drafts for power-up cards that will be used during gameplay.

Game Design

The game design team had a productive week and implemented a wide range of features:

  • Third-person camera now functional with loaded objects
  • Event timer system implemented for shop and chase phases
  • Jump physics and vertical (Z-axis) collision detection
  • Diagonal movement and precise collision handling
  • Player actions: attack, dodge

A particularly fun feature: players can now jump on top of one another! 😄

Morale Statement

We are feeling great! There has been a ton of progress this week, and now the bedroom environment is fully rendered. We’re excited to move forward with animations and hands-on gameplay testing soon!
