Futian Zhang Week 4 Report

Concrete Goals

  • Continue to work on character nodes. Ideally create a demo that can move around and interact with the environment/enemies.
  • Work on the combat system of the game. Allow the character to attack, roll, and take damage.

Goals Accomplished

  • Basic character node. Currently supports a third person camera, moving, locking enemies and a few basic animations.

Missed Goals & Reasons

  • I am not able to implement the combat system yet because the character node is more complex than I expected. However, the combat system is easy after the character node is finished.

Goals For Next Week

  • Implement the combat system, add more animations/particle effects. Present a demo of the combat scene.

Lesson Learned

How cameras are implemented in the games. How to create animations and particle effects. How to improve and polish the animations and particle effects that look real.
